HELLO I'M HAILEY
About Me
Throughout my time at Appalachian, I have been at two different schools helping out children through internships. My first Internship was at Westwood Elementary school. I helped out in after school care where I helped fouth graders with homework and did activities with them. When I started Block 1, my SPE class required me to do an internship at a first grade class at Forest Hill Elementary school in Burke Co. with Dana Honea. I go twice a week for the whole school day and I am able to observe my teacher and help out with any assignments my teacher needs. In my Environmental Literacy class we were required to do a service learning project. We went out to the school and helped them work on their garden and then build small greenhouses so that they could plant vegatables and use them for a learning experience in their classroom. I will graduate in the fall of 2015 and be available for hire in the fall of 2016. I would love to work in my home county, Iredell for my first job teaching. I would also like to go to other states such as New York and Virginia and teach there.
